This policy explains how the Eyor ("Eyes On the Road") Android application handles data, including data obtained through Google APIs. Eyor is a personal, single-user application: it is used by its developer on his own device and is not distributed to other users. In this policy, "the app," "Eyor," "we," and "the developer" refer to the same person.
When you sign in with Google and grant consent, Eyor uses the Gmail API on your behalf to:
These features use the Google OAuth scopes gmail.modify, gmail.send,
and https://mail.google.com/. If you enable optional calendar features, Eyor also
requests read-only calendar access (calendar.readonly) to tell you about your next
meeting and read your agenda aloud. Eyor only accesses the account you authorize.
Eyor reads incoming SMS/RCS text notifications and your device's media-playback status to provide its hands-free features. This information is used only on the device and is never sent to the developer.
All data is used for one purpose: to deliver the app's hands-free driving features to you — reading items aloud and carrying out the actions you request. Message content is held only transiently in the device's memory while it is being presented or read. Eyor keeps a small on-device list of items you have already handled (so they are not re-announced) and an on-device debug log of app events to help diagnose problems; these live in the app's private storage on your phone and are not uploaded to any server operated by the developer.
Eyor does not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for their own purposes. There is no advertising and no analytics.
Eyor includes optional features that, only if you enable and invoke them, send the text of a message or article to a destination you configure:
These are off unless you set them up, and any data sent is governed by the privacy policy of the destination you choose. Eyor does not send your content anywhere by default.
Eyor's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Eyor uses Google user data solely to provide and improve its user-facing features and does not transfer or use this data for serving advertisements or for training generalized or personalized AI/ML models.
Because Eyor runs on your device, the simplest way to remove all locally stored data is to clear the app's storage or uninstall the app. You can revoke Eyor's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account's third-party access page.
Eyor authenticates on-device through Google Play Services and does not embed any Google client secret; the OAuth client is bound to the app's package name and signing certificate. Access tokens are held by the device's Google account services. Network requests to Google are made over HTTPS.
Eyor is a personal tool for its adult developer and is not directed to children.
